This course aims to provide students with an appreciation and understanding of current scientific advances and discoveries. A wide array of scientific topics will be discussed and studied, such as biotechnology, health and infectious diseases, evolutionary biology, alternative energy technology, and neuroscience. Full participation in online collaboration and in-class readings and discussions is mandatory.
